Interfels Quick Drive (QD) Inclinometer Casing is designed to improve the viability of installing inclinometer casing into pre-formed window sampling holes or where ground conditions permit, pushed to required depth using CPT equipment. These methods remove the need for a drill-rig to attend site, saving time, money and significantly speeding up installation. The casing consists of a steel cone attached to the end of a 2 metre section of Easy Connect casing. This is driven into the pre-formed hole using a window sample drill/CPT rig passed through the casing to mate with the upper surface of the driving cone. Further 1 metre sections are then added as needed until the required depth is reached.
Interfels inclinometer casing is manufactured from ABS plastic utilizing extrusion technique which ensures consistently precise and smooth keyways formed at 90o to the internal casing surface. The ABS plastic has unique properties which is flexible and maintains its shape over a wide range of temperature and will not be affected by long term contact with soils, ground water or grouts. The casings are fully strength controlled for twist, bending, collapse and joint pull ensuring excellent performance during inclinometer data gathering.
Benefiting from all the advantages of EC (Easy Connect) Inclinometer Casing it is both faster and easier to install requiring no rivets, glue or sealing tape.
A full range of accessories allows the casing to be extended or joined at any point along its length.
QD Casing is supplied with a full installation guide.
